The teen issues that are affecting my life are things like peer pressure, because nowadadays everyone my age is smoking, drinking, and "getting high." I couldn't ever imagine inhaling FUMES into my nostrils or blowing SMOKE out of my mouth! I mean seriously.. I don't even understand people. Do you not realize how disgusting this is?! I mean... ew! It's nasty! So gross and icky. Yuck. And then I guess also the pressure to fit in with everyone else and do what everyone else is doing. Personally, I don't care if people think it's weird when I say my favorite animal is a unicorn. It's just how I am. My parents' divorce is probably what places the most stress upon me, because I always feel like I have to take a side or say exactly what each parent wants to hear. I can never really talk to my parents about it, because if I try to tell my mom that I don't like what we're having for dinner, etc. She'll say something along the lines of, "Well maybe if your dad paid child support we'd have better food!" and then Calli goes and tells my dad she said that, and he yells, "Well she don't need money to cook good food!" And then they both say, "You agree with me, right Chloe?" And then I have to say "Yes, you're right. S/he's wrong." And then it's just a big mess! I also think that the pressure to get good grades and please your parents places a lot of stress on teens, because you're afraid they won't love you or let you do the things you want to do if you aren't getting the grades they want you to get, which is even harder.
Chloe!!! Great Reflection!!! I understand your concerns about peer pressure... "Never Buckle and always Stand Firm"!!! I am sorry about all the pressure you are feeling from each parent, I am sorry how that you are being placed in the middle of your parent arguments. :( I hope that things get better for you soon!!! BG5C!!!
